Youth Confirmation Preparation

Register for classes through the Faith Formation Registration Process.

• Preparation classes are once a month from October to April.
• Two years of Faith Formation are required before receiving the sacrament.
• One year of Faith Formation precedes the year of sacrament preparation.

Adult Confirmation Preparation

Adults baptized in the Catholic Church but not yet confirmed are invited to join our January preparation class. Confirmation will be celebrated with Bishop Olson along with the parish teens.

We recommend attending Adult Formation Classes (English & Spanish) on Sundays from 1:00–2:15 PM.

Adult Confirmation Retreat: February 7, 2026 – 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Celebration of Sacraments

• Confirmation: Celebrated with Bishop Olson and parish teens.
• First Communion: May be received with Confirmation or at any regular Mass.

Adult Candidate Requirements

• 19 years or older (high school graduate)
• Single or married in the Catholic Church
• Registered member of Most Blessed Sacrament
• Regular Mass attendance
• If from another parish: Permission letter from home parish

  • First Communion Certificate (if applicable)
  • Church Marriage Certificate (if married)
• Sponsor’s information and paperwork:
  • Baptism, First Communion & Confirmation Certificates
  • Church Marriage Certificate (if married)
  • Letter of Good Standing (if not an MBS parishioner)

Confirmation Sponsor Requirements

• Practicing Catholic who attends Mass weekly
• At least 16 years old and received Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation
• If married, must be married in the Catholic Church
• If single, must not be in a common law/civil marriage
• Letter of Good Standing completed by home parish

Sacrament of Reconciliation

As part of preparation, candidates will be invited to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This may be done during scheduled times or by appointment before receiving Confirmation and/or Eucharist.
